TC5 is dedicated to developing industry standards that align with international standards, in an effort to promote the development of domestic information and network security products and services.
Vision and Structure
Purpose
To meet the security needs of domestic information and communication technologies, TC5 is dedicated to developing industry standards that align with international standards, to promote the development of information and network security products and services.
Responsibilities
- Promote the development of standards for security assessment and testing of mobile and network devices, including smart mobile devices and applications, network devices and cloud services.
- Promote the reference baseline for information security governance and threat detection and prevention.
- Facilitate the exchange of information security standards in Taiwan, and align standards with international organizations.
Organization Chart
Each working group will facilitate the development of related security guidelines and standards. Working groups will also ensure alignment with international standards and assist in the integration of existing standards in Taiwan, while helping the industry meet newly adopted standards.
The scope of responsibilities for each working group is as follows:- Smart Mobile Device Security

- Focus on security guidelines and standards of bundled software, network behavior, data access and app software of smart mobile devices.
- Network Device Security

- Focus on security guidelines and standards for broadband network device interfacing, security vulnerability assessment, and governance compliance.
- Cloud Service Security

- Focus on guidelines and standards for security governance of cloud services, security risk control, and security compliance.

2015 Key Results
The key result of 2015 is “requirements for security assessment of smart mobile devices”, which will
